Third Annual Midwest Conference on Catholic Liberal Arts Education

The Diocese of Marquette Catholic Schools presented our Third Annual Midwest Conference in Catholic Liberal Arts Education. The conference this year took place on June 12th and June 13th, 2017 at Holy Name Catholic School in Escanaba, MI. We had all nine Diocesan Catholic Schools and fourteen guest schools attend. Our keynote speakers were Dr. Michael Pennell and Michael Adkins. Throughout both days of the conference were breakout sessions the participants could attend which were led by different speakers and their peers.

Quotes from our Conference
“He inspired me to not be afraid of the Gospel and to be a teacher who strives for excellence and encourages excellence in my students.” (From Dr. Michael Pennell’s Liberal Education and the Catholic Community of Learners session)

“He is an incredible presenter in both the main session and small sessions. He gave both practical, proven things to do in order to enhance our classrooms/ curriculum. He was inspiring to me when talking about our mission and how he made clear decisions regarding their school resulting in success.” (From Michael Adkins’s The Successful Journey of St. Agnes Catholic School to a Catholic Liberal Arts Currirulm session)

“Well organized, excellent quality – really modeling a community of learners – great to be a part of. Thank you so much!”
