FORTNIGHT FOR FREEDOM: WITNESSES TO FREDDOM, JUNE 21-JULY 4
During the Fortnight, our liturgical calendar celebrates a series of great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of persecution by political power. In the secular calendar, we anticipate that the U.S. Supreme Court will rule at some point during the Fortnight (likely around June 27) on seven cases brought by religious non-profit entities. Resources for the Fortnight for Freedom including videos, “Witnesses to Freedom” one page stories, a parish guide to celebrating the Fortnight and more can be found at: www.Fortnight4Freedom.org
. Additional resources are listed below and others will be sent via email to the parishes of the diocese.
The materials below are available through the website www.Fortnight4Freedom.org, so please feel free to distribute or communicate to your parishioners in your bulletin.

DEVELOPMENT "IN THE FIELD"
Good Luck to St. Francis De Sales Parish, Manistique and Garden Area Churches in planning and implementing the Diocese of Marquette Increased Offertory Program during May/June.
Good Luck to the Baraga Catholic Community parishes with their Increased Offertory Program coordinated by Our Sunday Visitor.
Thank You to the 6 parishes who agreed to pilot the “Amazing Parish” program. Invited by Bishop John Doerfler, and subsidized by the Legacy of Faith Catholic Action Fund, six pastors, along with a team of four of their parishioners, had the opportunity to attend a conference last month and begin to build a vision for evangelization for their parish. May God bless their work to develop amazing parishes. We look forward to learning from them.
