OFFICE OF THE BISHOP
WEEKLY WEEKEND MASS ATTENDANCE COUNTS
Bishop John has requested that all parishes submit a total weekly weekend Mass Attendance count (for all Vigil and Sunday Masses combined) each week, beginning the first weekend of July, 2017. The weekly Mass Attendance counts will give us a baseline for our Mass attendance as we work together to increase Mass attendance through evangelization efforts discussed in Bishop John’s Pastoral Letter on Evangelization, entitled: “Transforming Fire: A New Pentecost to form Spirit-Filled Evangelizers.”
Bishop John F. Doerfler
Weekly weekend Mass attendance counts will be taken for a five year period. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of the Bishop at (906) 227-9115.
EVANGELIZATION PRAYER CARDS FOR PARISHES
Prayer cards have been ordered and received to be distributed to all parishes with Bishop John’s “Prayer for the Formation of Spirit-Filled Evangelizers”. The prayer cards will be distributed to the priests attending the Priests’ Convocation, September 11-14, 2017 or will be distributed sooner if diocesan staff will be coming to your parish or if the pastor is scheduled to attend a meeting at the diocesan office prior to the Convocation. 20,000 prayer cards are available.
In addition, parishioners who return their Prayer Intention Card sent to them by Bishop John Doerfler will receive a postcard acknowledging receipt of their prayer intention request which also contains the evangelization prayer.

Faith Formation Coordinator Training and Field Trip forms can be found under that office’s heading. Many other forms are available including safe environment forms, the marriage annulment application, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion Requests, a Legacy of Faith grant application and Catholic Service Award nomination and more.
