RELIGIOUS ALLIANCE AGAINST PORNOGRAPHY-UPCOMING WEBINARS
A webinar entitled “Parents, Kids and Pornography: The Attack on a Generation” will focus on the use of pornography by youth within our faith communities, along with practical steps that parents and religious leaders can implement to protect our youth. An anonymous survey at a Catholic high school indicated that 70% of the students reported viewing pornography several times per week or more, while only 11% of the students reported that they did not view pornography. Internet pornography has indeed become an “attack on a generation,” which is negatively impacting the majority of youth both in our parishes and in other faith communities. The webinar is scheduled for November 7, 12 pm EST and November 16, 8 pm EST. The webinar will last an hour and is free. Register at: https://register.gotowebinar.com/rt/2087824531865963009?source=RAAP For more information see the webinar flyer: Addendum #1 Religious Alliance Against Pornography.

RCIA CANDIDATES MARITAL STATUS
A reminder to Pastors, Pastoral Coordinators and the RCIA team of the importance of determining the marriage situation of the RCIA candidate and the candidate’s spouse which may require an annulment before he/she may enter the Church at Easter. If the candidate or the candidate’s current spouse has been married previously, an investigation into these marriages must be made immediately at the onset of the RCIA in the fall. Annulment applications coming to the Marriage Tribunal after the first of the year cannot be completed by Easter. A questionnaire that may be helpful to you is found in Addendum #2 to this communicator.

403(b) RETIREMENT PLAN MAXIMUM CONTRIBUTIONS
Please be aware the maximum contribution per individual is $18,000, unless the employee is age 50 or over. Members over 50 years of age are allowed an additional "catch-up" contribution of $6,000. Please note that maximum contributions per individual will increase to $18,500 in 2018 and the additional “catch-up” contribution limit will remain at $6,000. Since there still are several months left in 2017, it is a good time to evaluate your individual contributions to your 403(b) plan. Are you maximizing the amount you can contribute? Are you sure you will not exceed the maximum contribution amount by year end? If you have questions, please feel free to contact Irene at email@example.com or 800-562-9745, Ext. 135.
