PERFORMANCE EVALUATION FORMS
The Standardized Personnel Policy requires all parishes and diocesan entities to conduct annual evaluations with all employees. Completed evaluation forms should be saved in each individual employee’s personnel file and will be noted in future parish audits. Please find Diocese of Marquette Performance Evaluation forms for supervisors and employees at http://dioceseofmarquette.org/forms. These forms have also been included as Addendum #2 and Addendum #3 of this communicator.

TAMPER EVIDENT COLLECTION BAGS
The diocese will make available a one year supply of tamper evident collection bags to any parish that has not previously implemented this procedure. Parishes that have instituted this process have indicated they appreciate the extra level of security for their weekly and special collections. Our independent auditors also strongly endorse this procedure.  If you are currently using these bags and need to order more, please see the new order form in Addendum #4. Connover Packaging also redesigned the closure on its bags in the past year to improve the tamper-evidency. Please see Addendum #5 for a printable instruction sheet for first-time users or new collection volunteers. RED FLAG REPORTING INSIGHTS
Please take a moment to read the information below from Red Flag Reporting. We strive for a safe work environment, and care about our co-workers.

Opioids and Other Drugs in the Workplace
Nearly three years ago we wrote about opioids in the workplace. Unfortunately, while efforts are being made to control the problem, we have a long way to go. For example, on November 29, 2018 The New York Times reported that drug overdoses killed a record 70,000+ Americans in 2017. This spike correlates to an increase in the opioid epidemic. In fact, overdose deaths are higher than deaths from H.I.V., car crashes and gun violence in their peak years.

This problem knows no socio-economic barriers and because drugs impair one’s ability to think quickly, people can be at risk whether due to delayed reaction times from the shop worker handling heavy equipment or from the executive traveling to a business meeting. It is critical that all employees be alert for risky behavior.

Remember, we are here to help protect your organization, your co-workers and you. Whether you identify financial, personnel, safety or other concerns, contact your management team or contact us (anonymously or not) at: www.RedFlagReporting.com or 1-877-647-3335.

As a reminder, our client code for filing a report is 8005629745.
