BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS

ST. JOSEPH ASSOCIATION (GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY) COLLECTION:
Bulletin Insert #1
For collection weekend – May 11th/12th, 2019
This weekend all parishes and missions in the Diocese of Marquette are holding a Good Shepherd Sunday special collection to support our priests’ retirement fund, called the St. Joseph Association.  This collection directly benefits priests of the Diocese of Marquette and is completely separate from the annual December collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious, which supports retired clergy and sisters of religious orders across America.

Please prayerfully reflect on how you can best help support our own priests’ retirement and return your envelope in the collection or drop it off at the parish.

Bulletin Insert #2
Two weeks following collection weekend – May 25th/26th, 2019
On Good Shepherd Sunday, our parish and all parishes and missions throughout our diocese took up a special collection to support our priests’ retirement fund, known as the St. Joseph Association.  Collectively, our parishioners have raised $ AMOUNT to date.  We truly appreciate your support.  If you were unable to use your envelope last weekend, you may still support our retired priests by returning your envelope in today’s collection or by dropping it off at the parish office.

WORLD CHURCH COMBINED COLLECTION - JUNE 8/9TH, 2019
Catholic Relief Services Overseas Fund
Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. Funds will help six Catholic agencies to provide relief and support to struggling communities and to work toward peace and reconciliation among our marginalized brothers and sisters here and around the world.

Holy Land & National Communications Collection
The political, religious, and military challengers in the Holy Land are more complex than ever. The wars, unrest, and instability have been especially hard on Christians. The Holy Land Collection offers hope to the Holy Land Christians in these times of hardship. The National Communications collection helps connect people to Christ, here and around the world, through the internet, television, radio, and print media. A portion of the funds collected will remain here in the Diocese of Marquette to support our local efforts.

Peter’s Pence Collection (Collection for the Holy Father)
The Peter’s Pence Collection enables the Holy Father to respond with emergency financial assistance to requests to aid the neediest throughout the world—those who suffer as a result of war, oppression, and natural disasters. It likewise provides the faithful with a tangible opportunity to not only empower the weak, defenseless, and voiceless, but also sustain those who suffer.
