New Vision for the diocese

Bishop Alexander Sample's new vision for faith formation and  education for the diocese stems from his firm commitment to bring the church together in a spirit of collaboration and unity for the sake of increased evangelization. “We cannot reveal the light of Christ’s face to others unless we ourselves know him profoundly and deeply,” the bishop said.

In the two years since Bishop Sample was installed as bishop, much has already been accomplished to develop a strategic plan for the faith formation of our young people and for our adults. Efforts are ongoing. In general, the new vision concentrates on four focus areas: faith formation and education for parish catechetical programs, Catholic schools, youth ministry and adult faith formation.
