Returned prayer cards are kept in his private chapel, where he will pray for the intentions for the next year. Please encourage your parishioners to respond. Just a reminder, parish funds may not be used to host a going away party, offer a monetary going away gift or purchase a going away gift for a pastor who will be leaving the parish. SEASON OF HOPE RESOURCE
The pandemic impacted all of us on many levels including our spiritual life. Scripture tells us that, “after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you.” (1Peter 5:10). Bishop’s call back to Mass is a sign of hope during what has been a time of suffering.
The Diocesan Evangelization Council has created a resource for the faithful and parishes entitled Season of Hope as the diocesan church returns to the public celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. This resource can be found at by clicking here.
SMALL GROUP DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING
Everett Fritz, founder and director of St. Andrew Missionaries—an organization dedicated to training and equipping the young people and families offered small group discipleship virtual training for the Baraga County Catholic Churches which built on the diocesan Spring Study Day 2021 presentation. The recordings of the training are available to all in the diocese. To view them go to the diocesan website faith formation page. This was made possible through a Legacy of Faith grant.

WORLD CHURCH COMBINED COLLECTION - JUNE 12/13TH, 2021
All parishes in the Diocese of Marquette will be taking up the 2021 World Church Collection on June 12/13th, 2021. The World Church Collection supports the following outreach ministries to the Universal Church: the Catholic Relief Services Overseas Fund, the Holy Land & National Communications collection, and the Peter’s Pence collection (Collection for the Holy Father). Parish bookkeepers are advised to divide unspecified World Church fund donations evenly between the three individual collections using the Collection Counting Sheet. Bookkeepers may then complete their Combined Collection Transmittal forms to include with their payment to the Diocese. These collection resources can be found at dioceseofmarquette.org/administrativepolicies. Please make checks out to “Diocese of Marquette-World Church Collection.”
Please see the Bulletin Announcements section for an announcement that can be placed in your parish bulletins to promote this collection. Parishes may also print and use the Addendum #1 World Church Collection flyer as an optional bulletin insert. Thank you for your attention to this very important matter.
