Presenters this year were Fr. Maurice Henry Sands, Executive Director for the Black and Indian Mission Office in Washington DC and a priest in the Archdiocese of Detroit, and Lenora McKeen, Executive Director of the Bishop Baraga Association.
Fr. Sa
nds spoke about Bishop Baraga's early life in Slovenia, the influence of St. Clement Hofbauer, his ministry in various Native communities in Michigan, and his service as the first Bishop of the Diocese of Marquette. He also spoke about the USCCB's vision for the Eucharistic Revival and its plans for activities at the parish/diocesan, and national levels.
Len McKeen has been involved with the Bishop Baraga Association since 2012 and talked about inspiring others to "Follow in the Footsteps" of Bishop Baraga.
